Apr 29, 2012 · Now when it's time to lower the bed you reverse the pump valve and the weight of the bed pushes the fluid back thru the hoses the other way and the west end of the cylinder is now being filled with fluid. Nov 03, 2008 · Tractor. Kubota BX-23 & Toolcat 5600 D. I've come across a strange bug. My in-cab dump bed valve won't budge after I raise the dump bed to maximum height. I can fix the problem by manually bleeding hyd fluid from one of the two bed lift cylinders. This relief of pressure in that circuit allows the operator to then lower the bed.

This will not cause this problem because the excess oil will just be forced out the vent. Sometimes if you can't fill a system w/ the bed down there will be a check plug on the [/U]reservoir, sometimes there isn't.

May 10, 2020 · I would start by checking out that the linkages between the cab controls and that valve are not worn causing excessive slack in the linkage. Excessive slack in the linkage could cause the valve to not fully move to the return position, which means it is only partially opening the return port inside that bypasses the pumping gears.

If it's air operated it'll be a shiny cylinder about 1" in diameter on the left side of the pto pumpit should slide about 2-3". (this is how mine is, yours could be different). Sometimes that slide gets crapped up and either slows the hoist or stops it.
